The rules, in plain words.

These terms govern your use of the Aimantée app, published by Romain Mathieu. By downloading or using the app, you accept them. If you downloaded Aimantée from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; these terms supplement it without restricting it.

1. What Aimantée is (and isn't)

Aimantée is a self-discovery and wellbeing tool. The test, scores and texts build on the two-dimension model of adult attachment, but they are an estimate, not a diagnosis, clinical assessment or treatment. Aimantée does not replace professional psychological or medical support. If you are in distress, call or text 988 (US), call 0800 32 123 (Belgium), find a helpline at findahelpline.com, or call your local emergency number.

2. Age

You must be at least 17 to use Aimantée.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, in line with the store's rules. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the app or its content (texts, illustrations, test).

4. Free access and paid content

The test and the name of your style are free. The full portrait, likely origin, triggers, compatibility, couple mode and the 30-day program require an active subscription or the lifetime purchase.

5. Subscriptions

The exact price, in your currency and including applicable taxes, is the one shown in the app and by the store at the time of purchase. It may vary by country.
Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase or, with a free trial, when the trial ends.
Auto-renewal: your subscription renews for the same length and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged within 24 hours before the end of the period.
Free trial: if you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the paid subscription starts automatically. Any unused portion of a trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. The app can send you a local reminder before the trial ends if you turn it on.
Cancelling: from your account settings (iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep access until then.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Restore purchases: a button on the paywall and in Settings restores a purchase on a new device signed in to the same store account.
Lifetime purchase: a single payment, no subscription or renewal, valid for as long as the app is distributed and compatible with your device.

6. Your data

Everything is stored on your device. See the privacy policy.

7. Liability

The app is provided "as is". We do our best to make it accurate and kind, but we don't guarantee it matches your situation exactly. You remain the sole judge of the decisions you make in your love life. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

8. Contact and governing law

Questions: contact@aimantee.com. These terms are governed by Belgian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. You can refer a dispute free of charge to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (mediationconsommateur.be). If you live elsewhere in the European Union, the European Consumer Centre in your country can also help.
